So you are walking through this thing we call life and then…boom! You are hit with that unexpected job loss, financial hardship, relationship upset, or whatever it may be that flips you upside down. I know that this has happened in my own life. I had to wake up daily and be reminded that I am being held and my steps are ordered. He knows! He knows every hurt, pain, tear we shed. He knows!
I had to hunt hope again, which is exactly why I am so in love with my current book that I am reading, Hunting Hope by Nika Maples. Nika reminds us, “He is even aware when a sparrow falls, so how much more is He aware when we fall?”
Picking yourself up and moving forward in your faith is like walking up a staircase without seeing the steps. You may not be able to see that next step but you can walk confidently knowing that God is preparing you for that next step in your life.
II Corinthians 5:7 “For we live by faith, not by sight.”
Nika also points out to not be distracted by “why.” Maybe the source of a dark season is not as important as the result of a dark season. Try not to focus on your problem, focus on your next season of favor that God is preparing for you! When you think positively, your perspective changes. Begin speaking that it is going to happen, walking in faith that it is going to happen, and believing that it is going to happen! Go ahead ladies, claim that favor! “God has more in store for you than you can even imagine.” ~ Ephesians 3:20
In the words of my pastor, walk on through that door; the best is yet to come!
And while you are walking up each step of your staircase, make sure you leave a little sparkle wherever you go!
