Obsessed may be an understatement when it comes to me and all things rose gold with a dash of marble. It may be time for Santa's helpers to start shopping for the holidays so I thought I'd assemble a collection of my current favorites in a variety of price ranges. The watches are gorgeous, the jewels are shimmery, the slippers look comfy, the bags are to die for and all the extras are just perfect! And if my hubby is reading this, I mean, if you send your man to read this, drop him a hint of your faves in the comments!
*Oh! All the pretty details are best seen on a tablet or desktop!
Now that I’m a mommy of small children, my go-to daily attire has changed a bit.
Gone are the days of super high pumps, and restrictive clothing. Well, for now anyway.
In this season of life, I have to keep things simple. That’s because I’m in the daily trenches of mommyhood. So I’m up, I’m down, I’m changing diapers, loading car seats, sweeping, mopping, washing seven thousand sinks of dishes, and folding just as many baskets of laundry.
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years=party after party after party. Work parties, family gatherings and Friendsgiving, to name a few, are headed your way soon. Eeeek. They are oh so much fun, but how does this time of year creep up on us so fast every time? Not only is Christmas shopping commenced (failing at this so far), some early birds are getting their trees up (nope, three kids means this isn't happening here yet), and the holiday party invitations will be arriving soon. Eeeek again. To give you a head start on the season, I've compiled some fabulous dresses and at a deal of course. Normally I'd definitely aim to stay under $50 mark, but I included the $75 options, because oh em gee, the deals--they're all at least fifty percent off.
So, below, I give you $25, $50 and $75 and under dresses sure to rock any event you attend. AND...not just LBDs, but shimmer, cut-outs and a little sass. These babies are best viewed on desktop to get the full view of all the styles at once.
you know [at least] one of these caught your eye--tell me below!
It's not hard to imagine how a place like Maui can make you feel--relaxed, free, adventurous. Although the carefree vibe is clear everywhere you go, there are certainly a few things you need to be able to jump right in. This last trip was a little different as we went for my sister's gorgeous wedding and there were a lot of people to coordinate with on top of the usual three kids busyness. I'm sharing some of my favorite fashion and travel finds that stood by us in the mix of exploring and relaxation.
Hey beauties, happy fall! It’s officially here so that means bring out those cute booties, long sleeves, and jackets. Us plus size girls have options now and not just a frumpy pullover jacket or a baggy pair of sweatpants, we can look good and show off our beautiful figure. So naturally, I turn to Gwynnie Bee to meet all my fall fashion cravings with all their beautiful brand named pieces I adore!
Vacationing with littles is nothing but blue skies, or at least one would hope! We recently took the kids with us back to Maui for their second time. Traveling all the way over from Florida equates to about 4500 miles of pulling every trick out of my Mary Poppins bag to keep the exhaustion melt downs to a minimum (mine too). Long airplane or car rides can be testing on your momma patience, but I have a few favorites for making the journey easier for you and them.

There are many reasons why I decided to pursue a career in nursing nine years ago. To make it simple, there really is an invaluable fulfillment when you are able to be there for someone during a life altering moment! Whether that is handing over a perfectly yummy newborn baby to his or her mommy for the first time or holding an elderly person's hand while they take their last breath. Being there for others, serving them in the vulnerable capacity that nursing offers, is something so uniquely rewarding. Being a nurse is so much more than just passing medications out and taking vital signs--we are able to touch hands, but also have the opportunity to touch hearts every. single. day. Even on the hard days, we know that we made a difference.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but school starts in two weeks. Ugh. Yes, this momma is having a pity party. I know I can't keep my kids all to myself forever, but I love the extra time I have with my oldest when she isn't in school. I will wipe away my back-to-school-blues (for a moment) to look back on a few of my favorite moments and the cute attire they were wearing while we lived it up. We still have time to squeeze in a few summery adventures and you bet I will bottle up every giggle, dance party and look of awe I can.
Growing up and being a plus size girl, especially in middle school and high school was really tough for me. Being confident, loving the body I have, and finding cute, affordable clothes was always difficult for me back then. With companies like Gwynnie Bee, they have opened the doors for women who are dealing with the same feelings and issues I felt. I finally get to let my love of clothes run wild and have gained confidence knowing there is a whole world of fashion just for me.

Sigh. The quest for the perfect smile. We endured the embarrassment of being a brace face for years. And maybe wore our retainers so the pain wouldn't be in vain (I didn't, my teeth have totally shifted). But all that can be ignored if we have a bright white grill. I've always been self-conscious about my teeth being dingy. Being a new reporter in front of the camera every day makes me want to take care of my smile even more. I've tried whitening paste and strips - but never could make myself blow 500 bucks on professional whitening.
Enter Smile Brilliant. We've partnered with them to show you how easy the at home whitening process can be. A box arrives at your door with a step-by-step guide to making your own teeth impressions for your whitening trays. It's easy, you bite down on this clay-like base and catalyst mix a few times, let it dry and ship it off in the envelope they provide. They even provide and extra set of clay just in case the first mold needs to be redone for an oopsie. In a little over a week, I got my trays back and the whitening fun began.
