Hey beauties, happy fall! It’s officially here so that means bring out those cute booties, long sleeves, and jackets. Us plus size girls have options now and not just a frumpy pullover jacket or a baggy pair of sweatpants, we can look good and show off our beautiful figure. So naturally, I turn to Gwynnie Bee to meet all my fall fashion cravings with all their beautiful brand named pieces I adore!
Pumpkins, spice and everything nice, that's what fall is made of! I don't always have an abundance of time on my hands (who does?) which leads me to get a little creative with recipes. With the holidays quickly approaching, I found a way to get pumpkin included in pretty much any recipe whether prepared how granny makes it from scratch or semi-homemade. I'll be sharing this trick below along with talking about how using products with the Real California Milk seal can help those recently affected by hurricane Irma and Harvey.
This post is sponsored by Carter’s; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own as we only work with companies we 100% love and believe in.
With your first baby, the world basically stops for a little but your life goes on--you don't really have too much going on in the first 6 weeks of life as they eat-poop-sleep-repeat. When the second one comes along, your life is still happening. Your oldest has school, soccer, swimming, gymnastics, the list goes on. I love the Carter's Original Bodysuits for when we are on the run, and need to quickly dress my little man. I also carry two or three in the car, because... well, kids.
Vacationing with littles is nothing but blue skies, or at least one would hope! We recently took the kids with us back to Maui for their second time. Traveling all the way over from Florida equates to about 4500 miles of pulling every trick out of my Mary Poppins bag to keep the exhaustion melt downs to a minimum (mine too). Long airplane or car rides can be testing on your momma patience, but I have a few favorites for making the journey easier for you and them.
September 1st officially means I can let my love for all things pumpkin out of the bag. Don't tell anyone, but I actually made this Pull Apart Pumpkin Bread recipe over at Sweet Life of Anna in August and it was AMAZING! This pull apart bread was super easy and added a nice twist to the traditional pumpkin bread. To me, this is like pumpkin bread and a cinnamon roll got together to have a baby and Oh. My. Goodness, cutest baby you ever did see! If there is one thing you need to add to your holiday menu list or just because, make sure it's this recipe!
Mermaid tails, sand and bubbles make for a fantastic shellabration (the first of many under the sea puns...sorry not sorry) fit for any little girl, baby sprinkle or bridal shower. Party planning can sometimes get a little overwhelming if you feel the I-don't want-this-party-to-be-a-#pinterestfail pressure mounting on top of the normal busyness day to day life can bring. So get your clam shell bra and flipper ready, because this is going to be a party prep breeze with easy DIYs and even a genius party supply rental box that does the decor work for you!
Writing this is my therapy from the last week, so apologizing in advance if it comes off in rambles. Hurricane Irma hit Florida and it hit it hard y’all. We are on the west coast in central Florida in Tampa, and for about a week, we were feeling impending doom headed our way in one way or another. Here is my account of the events and how my momxiety took over for a hot minute.
Irma was predicted to hit the opposite coast of Florida, but knowing it’s size and living here my whole life, I know things can change last minute and they did. A few days ago, the spaghetti models (I don’t want to eat spaghetti for a long, long time FYI) swapped coasts and it was predicted to make land fall in the Florida Keys and then continue up to Naples or Fort Meyers. Tampa was still within the cone as a possibility for landfall, but mostly looked like we would get the eye over us as a category three as it traveled up the coast.
There is this six letter word that we all love and adore...M-i-c-k-e-y. There is also a five letter word we also love and adore...c-a-n-d-y. Add those two together plus some out of this world rides, character meet 'n greets, pumpkins, parades and all things pixie dust, and you've got Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. This super family friendly special event is sure to leave your little ones (and you) once again mesmerized by the magic of Disney now through November 1st. I'm bringing you the ins and outs of this night so you can be sure to enjoy every Mickey filled minute!
