Every now and then the stars align and we manage to get out of the house for an actual date night. For all other nights, we have to get creative. Otherwise, with our three little kids at the table, as soon as we try to have an adult conversation, one of them decides to tell us a story about their stuffed animal tea party or which dinosaur ate the other. We don't want to miss any of those sweet moments, so we usually put our plates to the side until we can sit and enjoy later, so it better be worth the wait.
This recipe is inspired by one of our favorite restaurant dishes we used to eat once upon a time ago, and by that, I mean half my lifetime ago. So without further adieu, happy date night at home! And oh, if you don't want yummy, higher than normal calories, look away quickly!
