“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumph and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere” Corinthians 2: 14
It’s very fitting we just celebrated our country’s 240th Anniversary of Independence, and be reflecting on this scripture. Just like the sacrifices that were made for our country, Jesus did the same for you and I so we can have to opportunity to live a full and overflowing life.
Because of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, He achieved the victory for us. We now we are no longer judged by the law, but can freely receive under grace.
Over the last couple years I have been on a mission to freely live under that grace, believing for victory in every area of my life. I had a dream to become a successful business owner. It was a challenge for me to take that leap of faith because my priority was being a mother to my children and I didn’t want my kids to feel neglected. So I dug my heels in and remained steadfast in the direction I wanted to go in life. I wanted to start my own graphic design company so that I could manage my own schedule and be able to enjoy my family time too. I was living on complete blind faith during the time, but was the best thing I ever did. I started a graphic design company and trusted God to guide me the entire way. There were moments of weakness and being discouraged, but He still supplied every need.
Like the scripture said, He always leads us in triumph and the beautiful thing is that our journey, is a testimony to others.
My journey of starting my own company has made me very passionate about encouraging others. I always tell people, we already have everything we need to achieve the desires of our hearts, and we have to remember that God wants us to achieve those desires too. We’ve been freed from the barriers of our past and the limitations of our flesh. Looking back at the infant stages of my business, the only thing that discouraged me was fear. I wasn’t scared of my business falling apart, I was scared of all the other responsibilities slipping through my fingers that I was juggling at the time. The fear didn’t necessarily go away, it was more like an emotion I could dismiss. It can be very scary walking out a dream in faith, but the good thing is that God has already called us victorious in His eyes. It’s comforting to know that He is leading us to triumph no matter what it looks like, so I hope that everyone with a BIG dream, keeps on dreaming BIGGER!
