It's summa summa summatimeeeee! Lately I've been craving some cool summer flavors. Nutrition is important to me and I'm not crazy about the fat content and unnecessary amount of ingredients in store bought dressings, so today I decided to whip up an easy, tasty, and light dressing/dip made from just a few ingredients.
You will need:
2 Hass avocados
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1/4 Cup of lime juice
1/2 Tbsp of garlic powder
A pinch of salt
A pinch of pepper
This is all you need to do, so easy!
I took two Hass avocados and removed them from their skin, as well as removing the pit.
I tossed them into my Ninja Bullet and added in the few ingredients. I used balsamic vinegar, lime juice (or fresh lime), garlic, salt, and pepper. You can use any food processor or blender!
You will have to add water little by little until it is as thick or thin as you desire. If you want it more of a vinaigrette, then you will use more water than if you desire a creamy dressing/dip thickness.
Mix until it is to your desired thickness, and voilà!
Try this on a salad, as a dip, or on top of meats! I chose to put it over my grilled shrimp for a light and tasty dinner! Can you say mmmm?! It also goes well as a thick paste for sandwiches or dips for veggies or chips!
Happy summer! Would love to hear about some of your fave summatime dishes!
