Expecting a baby can bring out so many emotions and natural transitions. There's the thrill of sharing your joyous news to the world, feeling the first few flutters is simply divine, going straight into savings mode for maternity leave is part of the beautiful picture of preparation. Not to mention making the necessary transitions for the wild tiger toddler in your life so that he will not steal baby's wubbie paci (praise God we overcame that hurdle & he is now wubbie free)! These are just a few changes that take place during the 9 month period of waiting for that sweet baby to enter the world!
Pregnancy is a beautiful thing (even if you don't feel beautiful the entire time) knowing that God has entrusted you to care for a tiny little human. Afterall, the fact that you are able to distinguish between the hungry cry, the "Mommy drop everything and hold me" cry, the gassy cry and the ticked off cry, can be blissfully overwhelming! These little babies come into our lives and change EVERYTHING!
I've always loved my husband, but how he has cared for, woke up in the middle of the night with, and the tender father that he is to our Ryder, makes me deeply grateful to be walking through life with him by my side! He is sexiest when he is cleaning the house or making a PB&J for our Ry (and all the Mamas said AMEN) .
We were very excited to discover this past summer that we would be expanding our family and undoubtedly one of life's greatest blessings is that we would be able to give our 2 year old little boy a baby bubby or a baby sissy! Although he has NO CLUE what is coming his way, it's SO precious to hear him say "baby bubby" & "baby sissy" (cue the heartmelt)!!!
I wanted to share with you some pictures from our gender reveal! Believe it or not, I managed to contain myself and wait until the party to find out with everyone. We had the OB seal the gender result in an envelope only for the eyes of the cupcake preparer (love you Catina!) so she could fill the middle with team pink or team blue. I will forever cherish the sweet and raw moment when we found out with sweet family & friends! We kept it low key & small! My guess was a boy & my hubby's guess was a girl....bugs or bows nobody knew!!!
So whether you are a personal friend or a friend via social media, I hope you can feel the joy in our hearts as we are all in this beautiful thing called life together! I have found that a life shared with others is life giving to the soul. It's a...
See you soon sweet little love!
