I am one of those people that sets my alarm 30 minutes before I have to leave--hit the snooze 2 times, thus giving me about 15 minutes by time I get out of the bed. A homemade breakfast was never in the cards for me, and before I knew about overnight oats, I was a bag of cereal kind of girl.
Overnight oats completely changed my life. First of all, these amazing oats make me feel like I'm eating dessert for breakfast. If that didn't sell you on these, then I'm not sure what will. These take about 10 minutes to make--and it sits in the fridge overnight soaking up all the gloriously delicious flavors.
Below are my variations on the ever famous overnight oats. I created a wonderful s'mores in a mason jar without all the calories, and a delicious strawberry cheesecake that will leave you wanting to make these over and over again.
Overnight Oats Base
1/3 cup Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup Rolled Oats
2/3 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
1 teaspoon chia seeds
Pinch of salt
1 Tablespoon of Honey
-Put all ingredients together in a jar and shake. Refrigerate overnight! Yep, it's that easy!
1/8 cup graham cracker crumbs
handful of mini chocolate chips
handful of mini marshmallows
Strawberry Cheesecake Toppings:
1/4 cup of strawberries (fresh or frozen)
2 tablespoons of whipped cream cheese
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
