I feel very blessed to be a part of this wonderful thing that Ashley (She Is founder) has created! I am really excited to get to share my thoughts with you on being a college student and how I personally balance everything that life throws at me.
To get started, I’m a full-time student at the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) studying Public Relations and Political Science. As a job, I babysit Ashley’s adorable little ones throughout the week. I used to have a retail job here in that I devoted a lot of time to, but I just recently decided that the retail life wasn’t cut out for me…. hah!
I know a lot about how hard it is to be a college student at times. It’s hard to keep your head above the water while managing to balance everything. I just recently had to learn that I couldn’t do everything. I used to pile a lot on my plate and get upset when it all wouldn’t work out.
We all struggle at times- especially during the college years. It’s such a weird time in your life, one minute you want to be a Lawyer and the other minute you’re thinking that you want to be a wedding planner (or is that just me). Even though the trials may be hard throughout this time and sometimes you just want to quit – push through. It’s worth it. I promise.
College is tricky. Putting too much on your plate calls for high stress, not putting anything on your plate makes you look like a slacker. Then, you always have that one friend that watches Netflix every day and makes you re-evaluate your life choices and wonder, “Why can’t I watch 4 seasons of Criminal Minds in one day too?”
The main reason why I am here is to let you know that you can do it. I will be here writing about life from a college girl’s perspective. I have quite a few topics that I am very excited to share with you all that I have been brainstorming about these last couple weeks.
It’s all about finding a good balance, and I’m here to show that it is possible!
