The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust Him.
Picture this: A little girl in the dark, hearing her father's voice---but not knowing where to go??
Not knowing what was in front, what was behind, what was to left or right of her.
She knows she is safe because she recognizes her daddy's voice though. The voice of a father who has never left, nor forsaken her. She hears a voice that is familiar in the midst of a place that is unknown and dark.
Now that you have this picture in your mind, we can dive into an amazing journey with God. Everything that isn't safe. Everything that is far from comfortable. Everything but planned by her. That's the journey of a daughter of God. This journey is not because you have to have fear, but to face fear in the face. I don't know about you ladies, but I dislike confrontation very much-- even when I know that it is necessary. Even when I know God is using me through the Holy Spirit to confront a lie to speak truth and love. I have learned that God enables me to be a light when He has already prepared the atmosphere. And, just like that, He prepares us for a journey into treacherous waters, valleys of death, mountain tops of trials and tribulations, stillness when we need to hear and see Him the most.
Ladies, lets just say-- this is the man we can never figure out. WE will never be able to know when He is coming with a bouquet of roses, a supernatural healing, a husband that He has sent for us, favor in the midst of controversy, or even provision in the midst of our calling and purpose.
That's why He forewarns us to tell us that His ways and thoughts are higher. What I can tell you, sweet She Is sisters...is that we can TRUST HIM!! When he starts something, He is faithful to finish it to its entirety. Not like what we can be guilty of in half started or half finished projects, He finishes the work in us and is faithful to complete it.
That is why I had you picture a little girl in the dark(vulnerable moments that we can be in or face), hearing a voice that gave her strength and comfort. It's to remind you that in this New Year of 2017, we can rest and take refuge in a God, in a savior that will never leave us stuck, alone, rejected, abandoned, unwanted, orphaned, lonely, dirty, ugly, or feeling less than. It is actually the opposite. He floods in those places that are locked, that walls have been built, where shame, fear, and guilt has taken post. I continue to believe that the same God that met me when I gave a one day notice to my job(who would hire me back in a heart beat) to pursue ministry for human trafficking survivors and sisterhood, can do the same for you. He is faithful to meet us this season.
No matter where you are(palms to the sides of your beautiful face), he will MEET you and he will provide whatever you need to see his already spoken purpose over your life, come true. Maybe you don't know what that is, but you know the Devil is fighting hard. Just remember that He is the author and finisher of your life. Seeking Him and asking Him will reveal and unveil what you have been called for---for such a time as this!!
Be blessed beautiful ladies. Be strengthened! Be loved! Be CONFIDENT--- that God is on the move for you!
