Y'all, I have a first grader. I don't know how it happened so fast and am definitely not happy about her growing up on me like this. None the less, I suppose I have to let her explore this world bravely as her small but mighty self. Being her momma, I am still going to do all I can to prepare her for what's ahead. We've had serious conversations about treating others with kindness no matter what, trying her hardest at every task her teacher assigns, but also giving grace to herself if things don't work out the first time. Besides encouraging her to be a steadfast friend, I want her to say Hello To First Grade prepared with all the supplies she needs to start the year off on the right foot. I've compiled a few fun items to bring a little sunshine into the mix of your mile long supplies list for your sweet little ones!

Since we are talking about back to school for the big kids, I couldn't miss the chance to add a new fave for the little siblings that remain at home. These may look like cutesie charm bracelets at first glance, but these are Kudo Banz. You guessed it, they a way to give kudos to your little ones as they do helpful things throughout the day. With three year old twins, we may have a trying time or two (*wink* Sorry, I couldn't help it!) with listening on occasion.
Each child has their own Kudo Banz with numbers one through three. As they fulfill a listening skill or go above and beyond, they get a charm added. The third charm has a scan code that goes along with their free app and it makes it become an animated character. They also get to spin a wheel in the app with certain rewards you program in. I know, amazing right?! I love the starter kit because it comes with two bracelets, four star charms, two special charms (Drago the dragon and George the monkey) that are characters featured in the book also included (29.95).
To keep things extra appealing, we added in their Pirate and Princess collection (10.95). Each collection comes with four character charms and two special characters. So for each child, I have three rotating Kudo Banz sets we can use to encourage great behavior. You guys, this has saved my sanity as my kids are big on positive reinforcement. If I can stay ahead with that vibe, we avoid meltdown central and that deserves a hands in the air happiness emoji!
Well, I hope you loved some of our favorite fun goodies for back to school! As the year starts back up, aside from the busyness it will bring, amidst it all, don't forget to just love on your little ones. Hug them, look them in the eye as you chat with them, still go on adventures even after summer has come to a close. Love and hugs sweet mamas!
