Oh sweet butter croissant, how you make my heart pitter patter. I wasn't sure there was something that could top a day to day croissant, but there is. Enter Kouign Amann--a beautiful, flakey, caramelized croissant and brioche combination. Originating from the region of Brittany, France, your taste buds will feel like you need to put on a beret and twist the ends of your mustache (if you have one). The best news? You don't have to purchase a ticket to fly over the Atlantic, but can get your own taste of France right here in Tampa, Florida at Petit Piquant off of Howard. As one who has been to Europe many times, these fit the bill and then some.
Piquant is under the care of celebrity chefs Rosana Rivera and Ricardo Castro and they are all things delightful. Their warm welcome is right up there with the pastries coming out of the oven. Their new addition to their patisserie family is being released today. You will find sweet flavors like guava, cinnamon sugar, raspberry, lemon and strawberry alongside more savory flavors like Lox salmon, braised short rib rib and roasted tomato with goat cheese. Well, I won't keep your taste buds waiting any longer, so I give you, the Kouign Amann...
Incredibundles is just that--incredible bundles. These bundles are packaged with gifts for babies and toddlers and include book bundles, bath bundles, and even a one year supply of diapers!
Having a toddler already, we have plenty of toys to give one away to every play date friend we have come over--and then some. Although I see nothing wrong with hand me down toys, I wanted to get my littlest something special for his half birthday. He is really into grabbing, shaking, and banging so I chose the Toddler Play and Learn Bundle. This bundle included a set of wooden blocks, a colorful wooden shape sorter, and a wooden drum. I love that these toys can grow with him, are open ended, and can even be shared with his big brother.
Allow me to tell you more about myself (for those who don’t know me. Haha!). I’m Jennifer, and I’m married to my absolute best friend ever. I have two sweet kiddos, my 5-year-old daughter, and my 1-year-old son who are literally the most exhausting and amazing little people ever. I’m a working-mommy turned stay-at-home-mommy. I absolutely love spending time with my family. I do photography. I love being involved in my church. And guess what – I used to be 336 pounds.
Three days spent in Denver. Three days I'll never forget with my sister. Three days I drank hot coffee and savored my meals. I called it my momcation and it was all things lovely. The stars just happened to align for a last minute trip to visit my sister in Denver. So--I packed a very small bag that I didn't remember being capable of doing since before kids and just hopped on a plane. I absolutely adore my kids, but OMGoodness, to only have to entertain myself was just what this momma needed.
There is so much to do in and around Denver, but I wanted to share a few of my fave foodie spots for your next trip over or a local foodie exploring all the hits. All the hiking, adventuring and even shopping can work up an appetite and these are sure to win a nomnom hashtag from your visit.

So whether you call the men in your life Daddy, Papa, Baby Daddy, Papi, Pops, Dad or Gramps, we've got major manly options sure to fit their style.

For the love of all things handsome, my heart can't take the cuteness of my guys in Durian and The Lyon's handmade bow ties. The teal flower bow tie (40.00) also reverses to a polka chambray fabric to give you two ties in one with the same being true of the pocket swatch (20.00) that amps up the dapper factor (20.00). Now for my little man who always has to match Daddy, his pre-tied bow tie (15.00, also in clip-on) has both designs combined. All the feels y'all, all the feels.
When people say not to mess with a good thing, they must not know the potential of making a classic even more divine. I give you...MILKA OREO chocolate candy. You can thank me later, but I will go ahead and say "you're welcome my friend." The best part about these new treats is they are effortlessly delicious. The MILKA OREO Chocolate Candy Bar highlights the vanilla creme center with a little crunch and the MILKA OREO Big Crunch Bar focuses on a chocolate cookie center with a layer of creme, then rich European Milka chocolate on the outside. See why I said "you're welcome" already?!? So, whether you are an eat-from-the-inside-out sort of Oreo indulger or vice versa, you are covered and easily just as satisfied. Their MILKA OREO Choco-Mix combines mini chocolate and vanilla cookies with chocolate candies and morsels for the perfect on the go snack. I can't think of another way to describe them all other than effortless melt-in-your-mouth goodness.
You’re a 34 year old single mother of 3 children, one of them a newborn, all is good, or so you thought. Just months after he was born you’re starting to notice you’re having trouble carrying your own child. Your hands are on FIRE and it’s getting worse by the day! You notice a red rash on your face. After googling your symptoms you go to your doctors to get tested for what you think you are suffering from. It’s confirmed, you have LUPUS. Imagine you’re awake but not really there. You hear voices, but no one’s home. Then PITCH BLACK. You’ve passed out and you wake up in a hospital bed with no recollection of what had happened. You have amnesia and all you have to go by is what everyone else witnessed. You were told you screamed some obscenities and at times became violet. All things that are out of character for you. You can’t remember your kids' names and it takes a while to remember things. You can’t form words because of the stutter you’ve developed.
I was so full of so much excitement that I could hardly keep my mouth shut for the couple of days before her surprise. My daughter was turning 11 years old on the 11th~ her golden birthday! So we had decided to give her 11 cards throughout the day that had either a surprise gift or activity for her to enjoy on her special day. Oh, the anticipation! She was over the moon excited because unlike other years where she knew what would be going on, she loved the fact that she has no idea what she would be doing or the gifts that she may be receiving. I thought I would share with my She Is ladies what we did to give you some ideas on how to make the day special for someone in your life.
It's our one year blogiversary y'all! Not excited one bit though--hah! It's not just that I love to host a lovely event with friends, but wow, what a year it's been. I launched our website off the biggest heartfelt tug I've ever had and it was clear this was bigger than me. In comes a lot of prayers and the beautiful sisterhood part of this--I asked our writers to join in to offer different perspectives and passions to be shared. I love them. They are so giving of their heart, energy and time. Forever thankful for all they do!
Then there is you all! Every entry read, comment made, image liked, blog post shared by you has helped us grow to where we are at. Your support and encouragement will forever be held close in my heart. Thank you for being patient with us as we have grown along the way. You are the reason we work so hard and why we love what we do!
We are so excited for what is to come with the blog, store and our app we recently got up and running. It's all such a beautifully chaotic whirlwind and I wouldn't have it any other way. Now enough of my sappiness, here's a recap of our celebration held at the Kendra Scott store at Hyde Park Village in Tampa. Make sure to read all the way to the bottom to get the details about our event partners and our giveaways!

After a long day of doing all things that involve Mommying such as pumping every few hours for the baby, making food for my toddler who then refuses to eat it, trying to fold the baskets of laundry that have been starring me in the face all day and sterilizing bottles....I absolutely love bath and pamper time. It allows me to take a step back from the busyness of mom life and enjoy the reason I'm a mom--my kids.
I recently was introduced to SoCozy's Hush sensitive line, dermatologist and allergy tested products for your littles. Tangles, bedhead and frizzies are no match for their easy to use formulas. That, along with the fact that everything is non-toxic has this momma in pure happiness mode. Oh wait, ready for more bliss? You can only get their Hush Sensitive Styling Foam, Sensitive 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner, Sensitive Detangler. and Sensitive Scalp Serum in the baby aisle at Target. If *wink* you needed another excuse to take a trip there, this is it!
